Q. is 360 a dorky console? i mean is the console for dorks i mean is the console for dorks
Asked by ps3 rocks! - Wed Jan 23 02:59:17 2008 - - 6 Answers - 0 Comments

A. No the 360 is a very good console, it isn't quite as powerful as the PS3 but the library of games right now makes it the best gaming system out currently. As time progresses the PS3 will take the stage more but for the time being 360 is it. I have both, actually all three of the newest nexgen gaming consoles and the Xbox 360 is my favorite all around system. If only they could make Xbox live gold free to play online then it would be on. The 360 is the best console for sports, shooters, racing and other more teen to mature gaming. It is not for the 9 year old gamer, yes there are games out there for the xbox 360 that is tailored to the younger audience but the main audience of the xbox 360 is the 18-35 age group. Hope this helps.

Q. how can you delete your yahoo 360 page or will it delete itself after a while if i ignore it
Asked by fuel91 - Mon May 7 19:32:01 2007 - - 1 Answers - 2 Comments

A. Since your 360 page is tied to your email account, there's no option to cancel/delete a 360 page and leave your email account intact. You can delete your 360 page by deleting your entire Y! email account. After terminating your account, it takes Yahoo 90 days before they completely remove the account (It's best to remove all info from your 360 page before terminating it). Even if you don't sign into Y! 360, the page will still remain there as long as you're using other Yahoo services with that Yahoo ID. You would need your entire account to be inactive for 90 days before Yahoo removes it for you. If you don't want to lose your Y! email account to get rid of your page, you can remove all information from your 360 or you can set all of… [cont.]

Q. Whats the difference between the xbox 360 Premium and the xbox 360 elite?
Asked by BillG - Sun Jun 10 20:42:58 2007 - - 1 Answers - 2 Comments

A. So, if you get the green box (core system), you get no wireless on the controller, no hard drive, no xbox live headset, no ethernet cable and no media remote. The biggest difference here, is the hard drive. Why? Cuz you need it or a memory unit to save games. The main reason though, is you need it to play your old original xbox games in their new widescreen High Definition glory. Not worried about old games? Couldn t care less about wireless controllers? Don t have an hdtv? Not worried about save games? (huh?) You won t be playing xbox live? The core system might be for you, but if you answered no to all of these questions, why have a 360 in the first place? The harddrive alone sells for $100. Why not pony it up to start with, and get… [cont.]

A. 1) Xbox 360 is a new generation console that differs from the old black cube-like 'xbox'. 2) Xbox has had many SKUs or Stock-Keeping-Unit.. which has basically different Xboxs with variations in their hardware... It's generally results from the arrival of the chipsets that is built in. Newer chipsets get smaller and run cooler. It can also done to create an different packages according to affordable prices. Example, when you go to the store you can choose a package according to how much you can afford to pay.. it could be an Xbox with 20GB harddrive, Xbox with 60GB hdd, Xbox with 120Gb and a headphone and two controllers.. or so on. In a way you could consider the new Xbox Slim as a newer SKU too. But SKUs are important because you not… [cont.]

A. The Elite comes with a 120 or 250 GB hard drive, which is bigger than the other models. It also comes in colours other than white -- most are black, I've got a red one from the Resident Evil 5 bundle. Other than that they're identical -- all 360s have the same internal components including HDMI, ever since late 2008.

A. Um... no. He only wants to transfer some stuff, guys. Use any old USB drive, preferably one that has at least 2 GB of storage. (Something that everyone with a computer should own, and they cost under $10.) With a recent 360 update, you can use these to store data. You'll have to go to Memory and manually move everything related to your profile over to the USB stick, and then plug it into your new Slim when you get it and transfer it to that HDD. If you have a LOT of data, this might require several trips. Keep in mind that if you bought DLC, it might be easier to just redownload it onto your new console. Also keep in mind that your DLC will still be licensed to your old console, so you'll only be able to use it on your new console when… [cont.]

Q. I am going to get an xbox 360 arcade included with some furniture from roomstogo and I'm wondering what the difference between that and an xbox 360 premium is. I heard that the only thing was the hard drive. If that is the case then could I just buy a hard drive and it would be the same thing as a premium? And also if I did that, could I use xbox LIVE?

A. A xbox 360 premium is with the hard drive and includes wireless game pad and headset and a xbox 360 arcade is without the hard drive and with a wired game pad and a 256MB memory card.

A. You can transfer your data from the old hard drive with a transfer kit You can't use your old hard drive because the slim uses an internal hard drive (non removable) When buying one, make sure you get an official microsoft brand cable, 3rd party cables have been known to ruin data

I used to do the same exact thing all the time and it worked fine. But recently when I try to do it, it doesnt work. Anyone know how I can make this work?
Asked by Neil M - Sun Jul 27 18:33:29 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Its probably because the songs you want to play on your Xbox 360 off your iPod are either protected songs from the iTunes Music Store that are protected by DRM's. Or it could be because the certain file type is conflicting with the Xbox 360. Because I know for a fact that Xbox 360's are made from Microsoft so the only music that are allowed to be played on their systems are file type's such as original mp3, wma, aac, or maybe if your lucky Mpeg file's. Just burn your stuff to a blank cd in iTunes and import your new album into your Xbox 360. When songs are burned to a cd the file type always converts from its unplayable file type such as mp4 to mp3. The best thing about it too is that its legal! Hope that helps.

A. the big difference is the hard drive(the hard drive is neccesary if you want to play xbox live/and download stuff from the xbox live marketplace..the arcade doesn't have one(though u can buy one). You might as well just buy the standard because you'll get every accesory/etc that the arcade gives(+ the hard drive)..but the only thing you don't get is the 5 free arcade games(not a big loss).

Is microsoft going to fix the 360 hardwar problem?
Q. As most gamers know, the xbox 360 is prone to hardware failures or "the 3 red rings of death". I know microsoft has extended the warranty on the 360 for these problems, but are they going to actually fix the problem? Are they going to come out with an updated xbox 360 that will not have these problems? Because it's kind of stupid to buy a system that will break all the time, even if you can fix it for free. I am planning to buy a 360, so I was wondering if microsoft will make an updated 360, and if not, can anyone tell me the percentage of failures?

A. There are two USB (controller) ports on the front, and one in the back. The one in the back is really there for the Wireless Internet Adapter, but if you don't use that, you can plug in a controller. About Rock Band: The game comes with a usb hub, so you have no need to worry.

Asked by simmygirl58 - Fri Aug 22 02:06:44 2008 - - 8 Answers - 0 Comments

A. It depends, If its a minor issue, like the CPU or GPU are loss and they just got to tighten it back down then you most likely will get you old system back. However if it's something major you'll get a replacement system, and that replacement system can be someone else's or a reserve system. A reserve system is basically a system they got from the plant but instead of shipping it out to the market they kept it just in case something like this would happen. I know a friend who sent in a first gen. 360 and he got the new falcon cpu, hdmi system.

How do you connect a wireless Xbox 360 controller to a computer?
Q. I've seen people with wired controllers plugged into a computer and run but all of my 360 controllers are wireless. I've installed the driver to run the controllers but they do not respond to my computer. I've used the charger cable to connect but it just keeps going to my 360 and not my computer. Is there a way to use a wireless controller on a computer?
Asked by DaMonkeyOnCrack - Tue Mar 23 20:42:05 2010 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. The play-and-charge cable will only charge the controller -- it doesn't transfer any gaming information. To use a wireless 360 controller on the PC, you need to be using XP with Service Pack 2 or later, Vista with Service Pack 1 or later, or Windows 7 and you also have to buy the Microsoft Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows.
