What happens to pictures in a folder after renaming the folder on Blackberry storm?
Q. I created a folder in my Blackberry Storm for pictures. I moved my pictures into the folder, then decided to rename the folder. After renaming the folder, I can not find the pictures that were originally in the folder. Where can I find those pictures? Are they still on my phone somewhere? Please help!!

A. The should still be there. Open your media forlder->hit pictures->then you should have 3 options All picture, picture folders, & sample folders. If you choose All Pictures they should be in there.

Why do different pictures appear as the folder image on my ipod touch?
Q. I added a new picture to my iPod touch and I want it to be the cover photo for the folder. So I put it first in the actual folder. Then when I synced my iPod, pictures from different folders became the image on other folders. For example a picture from my Family folder becaame the cover photo for my Friends folder. what do i do?
Asked by doggirl_18 - Thu Mar 12 22:53:03 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments
A. The iPod Touch will always use the most recently added picture as the folder cover photo. Sometimes it does get them out of order, and puts photos as covers for different folders. What you need to do is take all the pics of you iPod and then sync them back to your iPod in the order you want. This should work, as it has worked with me many times.

How do I remove a folder from my computer, but leave the files in the original place?
Q. I have a crapload of folders filled with mp3's that are all in one 'mother' folder. I want to get all the files out of those folders, but keep them in the 'mother' folder. This can obviously be done manually, but that would take hours. How can I do it quickly? Or at least in a way that doesnt require me to sit there all day?
Asked by Campo - Mon Jun 22 22:05:17 2009 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Just do a search on *.mp3 from the mother folder. Then grab the crapload in the answer window with a Ctrl-a (slect all) and drag them to the mother folder. Explorer will probably choke on that, it does on most operations involving more than 2 files at once (cynical, me?) but its about the best you are going to get with the standard Microsoft stuff. I use xplorer2 lite for operations involving a lot of files: Unfortunately the search uses the standard Windows method, but the move should be less seize-up prone. Mine says 1000 odd mp3s, and no, I am not going to try and move them. Just curious - why would you want to bog down one folder with thousands of files? it will be a pig to work with afterwards. If your problem is searching… [cont.]

If I add the folder containing my music to itunes library, can i safely delete the old folder?

A. your itunes library music is linked to your music folder. deleting this folder will make your music in itunes cant be played coz it's not on your hard drive anymore. for duplication problem search for duplicated song and remove it from your hard drive and then from your itunes library.

How do you open a folder on your digital camera to view pics?
Q. I put my memory card in the computer to view the pics and saved all of them into a folder on my computer. When I did that it also made a folder on the memory card and when I put the card back in my camera it doesnt show the pics in the folder and I cant figure out how to view them. Its a cannon power shot.

A. the pictures from your computer will have to be placed into a subfolder your camera will recognize. take a picture with the camera first on the same memory card. this will allow the camera to create a subfolder on the memory card. Then move your other pictures into the the same subfolder where the picture you just took is stored on the memory card.

Q. I have tried dragging and dropping, which seems to work fine, except it does not cause the file to disappear from the shared folder. Even after closing out the folder and going back to it, it's still there! Is it just copying the file when I drag and drop? If I just drag and drop the files and photos into a desktop folder and delete the replicas in my shared documents, it won't cause everything in my desktop folder to be erased will it?

A. once you have dragged and dropped the file into a new folder just go back to the original folder and right -click on the file you want to remove, then from the drop down list that appears click on the delete option (well at least I think that will work)

A. try this software: Recuva by piriform, it's free, reliable and efficient to use. Recuva (pronounced "recover") is a freeware Windows utility to restore files that have been accidentally deleted from your computer. This includes files emptied from the Recycle bin as well as images and other files that have been deleted by user error from digital camera memory cards or MP3 players. It will even bring back files that have been deleted by bugs, crashes and viruses!.. goodluck!

A. I think you may have turned on "File Vault". It is a security feature of OS X that changes your home folder into a "sparse disk image". That is a mountable disk image file encrypted by 128-bit AES (Advanced Encryption Standard). It makes it virtually impossible for anyone, even the FBI, to see the files in your home folder without knowing your password. It will also lock you out if you forget your password. If your account is set for automatic login, you are wasting your time since your home folder disk image is opened and mounted when you "login". Apple needs to make File Vault impossible to enable with auto-login, duh! You can turn off File Vault in System Preferences > Security. A. Should be a two step process... 1) right click on the folder, lets says its your calendar. you should see something there regarding "share" (sorry, but i do not have 07 on the laptop that i'm on...) in this first step you have to set up who can view this folder and what permissions they have. 2) once you have permissions set, THEY will have to go to "Open a shared folder" which should be located in a couple places (menu bar is one) but for the sake of the calendar, you should see that option on the right side of the screen. if you cant get it to work, it is best to ask someone in your IT Support department as there may be settings that need to be bypassed or it could be "turned off" for a reason.

How do i retrieve files from a folder that was removed by an antivirus?
Q. I am using avast anti virus, during a device scan, a folder containing a very important files was moved to the virus chest. I would love to get some files out of that folder but it has been veryu difficult. Please anybody with idea of what i can do. I need response urgently pleaseee.

A. This was posted about 7 Months ago from a person called Tim L: Run avast! antivirus Next click on "virus chest", then single click on the file you want to recover, and click on the bent arrow on the top to restore files. If you can't find the bent arrow (which you should), then click on "File" on the top and click "restore". (Note: Even after you restore the file, you'll still see the file in the chest. Don't worry, the virus chest makes a duplicate of the file you restore and leave the duplicate in the virus chest while restoring the original file. If you like, you can just delete the file in the virus chest after you restore it with no problems).
