How do I take the window lock button off my 99 Buick Century?
Q. The window lock button on the drivers side panel is broken, so no one in the car can't put down there own windows. I can only control the windows going up or down. The button is broken and stuck on windows lock. What can I do to make my windows work?

Why does my ipod touch lock after i press the volume down button?
Q. My ipod locks normally but whenever i turn the volume down with the buttons the side of the ipod it locks. If i do this with the headphone volume switches then it doesn't lock. Whenever i press the lock button it locks and turns the volume down. Anyone know why?

A. It's probably glitching. Try restarting the device and if that doesn't work then restore it. That should do the trick. If not, then contact Apple. Something is wrong if it's not resolved at this point.

There are settings that help determine how far up/down the door travels so that you can adjust it a few inches to close a small gap. This is the "travel". A. Sounds like the only thing it can be is a short inside the remote. Some parts houses sell new remotes that can be programmed to work with your car. If it was installed on the car new, you may be able to just get a replacement through the dealer.

Why does my laptop sometimes go into caps lock when I don't push the caps lock button?

A. what you probably mean to say is that you're just typing nd then this just hppens for no obvious reason. hint: notice the missing A's ? old keyboards used to have a big depression in the caps key, where the 1/3 of the key closest to the A was about 1/4" deeper than the normal keys, meaning you couldn't hit the edge of the key and accidentally turn it on. the newer, closer-spaced, flatter keyboards don't have room for such a convenience tho, and now we all end up poking it when we miss the a key slightly. at least.. that's why it happens on MY keyboard..

Q. Car is a 2006 330I with comfort access. The key fob only opens the trunk at this point. Also the lock/unlock button inside the car is not working, either. Actually the key fob works; whats inop is the central lock/unlock button located in the dash. I should say that the locks don't open at all but other features of comfort access work, i.e. Key Fob starts car and opens trunk (both with ignition/buttons and just comfort access).

A. bad switch, plain and simple. about 200 bucks for the repair on the high side. you can get one from a import junk yard and someone can install it for 50 bucks depending on labor in your area. i should also add that it might have come unhooked as well

If so--sounds like some kind of gearshift interlock system. Is not activating as it would Normally when you step on the Brake pedal. Are you sure you are pressing the brake pedal as you try to shift into Gear from Park. typically a malfunction of this type would be related to a servo switch or a wire leading to it. Most times it's a ground wire for nearly any vehicle that pervents it from working normally. Or a Faulty solenoid / switch.

Q. I had accidentally pressed the "Lock this computer" icon and all it drew was a blank screen. According to the website, a log-in page should have opened up once I pressed that button, but it didn't and someone had to help me unlock the computer. What happened, and why?
