Help with Philips Digital Audio Player?
Q. Hello, I bought a Philips Digital Audio player for my brother, but I can't figure out how to get music onto it. I have an Apple iPod, I guess I've been spoiled by how easy iTunes is, lol. I have a ton of MP3 files on my comp. already, how do I get them onto the player? Everything I'm reading says I need to "convert" them, and the player says it only supports "WMV." Help!

A. just match up the colors to what the tv have. The green and black one are for the high def pic and sound. If those don't work out too well you may have to try to get a cables that have the red, yellow, and white. I got one of those cables and got the pic to work but the sound didn't. i don't have a flat screen but my tv have those slots. just play around and see what happens.

What exactly is text reader on a Philips GoGear audio/video player? ?
Q. What exactly does it do and how do you use it? What kind of file does it require? Thanks
Asked by ravenneoir09@ymail.com - Mon Jan 5 21:03:09 2009 - - 1 Answers - 1 Comments
A. The text reader is for... well, reading texts. I use it to store lyrics for songs. All you need to do is write, or paste some text in "notepad" and save it as a ".txt" file. I figured this out today, actually... xD You can listen to music while you read it too. I think they said you could do that with the pictures too? It doesn't work for me though...

Philips 442PFP5532D Audio Output?
Q. I am trying to connect a 5.1 audio system (Sony HT-BE1) to my Philips TV, but can't get it to work. There are 4 "sections" on the back: EXT-1 to EXT-4: EXT-1 SCART --- Unused EXT-2 SCART --- Unused EXT-3 RGB + Red, White --- Connected to Xbox 360 EXT-4 Yellow, Red, White, S-Video + Headphone --- Unused The back of the 5.1 system has Red and White socket, which I am using to connect it with a cable, but I can't get the audio through the 5.1 system speakers. I have also tried plugging in a Hifi system with the same connections, with no success. Which socket on the TV (if any) should be used to connect them? Any help and advice would be appreciated. Just ask if you need any more information. Thanks. There is no Audio out =/ Ah well...… [cont.]

A. Look on the back of your TV set for an "AUDIO out" set of connectors...that will let you drive your amp with the TV sound. Now if you're looking to drive your TV with the amp, that does not work at all, unless you also fire up the video input with video. That UN-MUTES the audio on that input. But why do that? I don't really know, but I've had several customers trying that setup.

A. It really depends on where you bought it. If you bought it in Europe, probably not. Some units allow you to change your region one time. Since you have a higher end Philips, I'd check the owners manual under "changing region" to see if it's possible.

Philips AZ3830 Does anyone know what is the bit rate of the files converted into mp3 from cds?
Q. This questions is for all the ones who bought a Philips AZ3830 audio player. Actually, i'd like to know if the files ripped into mp3 from cds are of 128 kbps, 192 kbps or more. Also, maybe it s possible to select the bit rate? This questions is only for the ones who bought a Philips AZ3830 audio player. Actually, i'd like to know if the files ripped into mp3 from cds by this boombox are of 128 kbps, 192 kbps or more. Also, maybe it s possible to select the bit rate?
Asked by JOSEE - Thu Jun 21 18:42:58 2007 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments
A. I don't have that player, but I suggest you check the ripped mp3s on your PC. If you use Winamp, it will give you info on the bitrate (right-click in playlist and view file info). Check a couple and if they aren't the same bitrate it means its encoding in VBR. About selecting the bitrate, you should check the manual beforehand, though I don't think they would give you that option on a Radio Cassette/Cd player.
