How to get music and recordings off a Philips 2GB GoGear?
Q. I have some old songs on my Philips GoGear mp3 player and I can't figure out how to delete the songs from it. Same goes for the old recordings. Anyone know how to delete the songs and recordings?

A. When you plug your player into your computer you should be able to bring it up has an external drive. You can navigate to the songs select them and push delete. A quick way to delete everything is to do a repair using the device manager.

Help with my philips 2gb Mp3 Player?
Q. Alright, so I have a go gear philips Mp3 Player, it is 2gb I forgot the model number so I will just post a pic, Now, my Mp3 Player synchronized every song twice. I don't know how to delete songs off of the device. So here is my question how do you delete the songs of of your device, and not just your computer? How do you keep songs from synchronizing again? Can you erase the entire memory off of your Device? If you know any of the answers please give vivid instructions as to how. I already tried the reset button and I even held it down, with a paper clip and it did nothing! Please help me it's getting really annoying. Well, i just got a philips gogear mp3 2gb. and well.. i went to the file with all the stuff in it and deleted all the default music they have in there and i deleted the pictures in there and the videos. and i loaded alot of music into it from limewire. now, when i finnaly finished downloadinng into it it loadss really slow. and then a song already starts playing. when i go to pick "artist" it messes up more and starts playing a song and it looks wierd. and when i try to attempt to switch the song it freezes and messes up! please help mee!!! did i delete the wrong thing?! if so how can i get it back!?

A. The original Philips GoGear 2Gb was the worst piece of junk ever manufactured by a reputable company. If you have the HDD65/70 you will need to use a special program to load the music. The tagging system is unusual, and you can't just load stuff straight from your hard drive, or drag it from internet explorer. Download and use 'Herbert'. It works beautifully:

A. they are about 200 -250 i would recommend an ipod nano or iriver. for 250, you cna get a 4 gig ipod that plays videos and is smaller. and even cheaper if you buy a refurbished one...they are not bad.

My teacher saw it and demanded that i turn it off right away. 8gb or 32gb iPod touch?
Q. there is like 80 difference!! but at the moment on my mp3 player i only have like 28 songs :L, but i will be mostly putting apps and playing games. i'm not a massive music person to be honest.. but people are saying that the 32gb is better and blaahblaahblaah!! but it's alot of money!! At the moment i have a philips gogear 2gb mp3 player. i have about 1.6gb left on it :L and i've had it for over 1 year now!! i delete songs and replace them, i don't keep them that much. And i'm only 13 and gonna have to find the money to pay for the ipod.. so you see where i'm coming from. Thanks

A. I would keep the original mp3 player. The 32gb is way too much memory and money for you to pay for by yourself. My 11 pages of apps is only taking up 2gb. So I would say get the 8gb although you won't get iPhone OS 4.0 software which doesn't seem that great anyway.

Pen Drive not detecting on XP, but iPod Detecting?
Q. Hello friends... I am in a real deep trouble. Recently I found that my pen drive is not being detected on my laptop. Take any pen drives, for eg - Transcend, iBall, Kingston, but its detecting my 2gb Philips GoGear MP3 Player. And yes I checked my MP3 Player on all of my USB port. Only Pen drives aren't working. But the pen drives which I tested on my system are working fine on other systems. My Dell Inspiron 1525 Laptop configuration is Intel Core 2 Duo (2.0ghz) 2gb RAM 160 gb Hard disk with Windows XP SP2. Anti-Virus is Mcafee Enterprise edition 8.5i I had disabled auto-play option on all my drives using Powertoys for Windows XP - Tweak UI. I tried enabling Autoplay also. But it didn't worked.
