Can you change a philips hotel tv from commercial to consumer mode without the master setup remote?
Q. Bought a used philips tv from a hotel. Its in great condition but it skips a lot of channels including espn which is a problem. Is there any way to change it from commercial to consumer mode without buying a master setup remote? I can't access a menu.

But if it's simply the built-in CC then your TV should have a MENU / OPTIONS / or SETTING button. Use that button and the two buttons on the right to select the option for disabling Close Caption. How do i stop the menu screen from popping up on my Philips TV?

Why does my Philips TV keep turning off?
Q. If my TV's (Philips 32" widescreen PW6006) been off or or standby for a little while there seems to be small problem when I turn it on again. Thing is, the picture seems bright at first and it has a tendency to turn itself off again onto standby. This can happen several times until the TV has 'warmed' up and the picture is a normal contrast again. I think switching the AV channel quickly when I turn it on may solve the problem more quickly than usual. Anyone got any ideas on how to fix? TIA!

My philips flat screen HD Tv turns on but does not show image?

Blue haze at the top of my Philips Plasma tv?

I own a 42 inch Philips Ambilight TV and recently every now and again when there is a white background on whatever Im watching, there is a little bit of blue haze/miscoloring only where the white is. Plasma TV sets develop a condition called diffusion after a couple years and is normally seen in Bright White or Black portions of the picture... The reason is that some of the power supply voltages need to be adjusted, and to properly fix it, the TV must be adjusted several times as the plasma panel HEATS UP... The gas inside is misfiring and it's due to the voltages being off a bit...

A. just match up the colors to what the tv have. The green and black one are for the high def pic and sound. If those don't work out too well you may have to try to get a cables that have the red, yellow, and white. A. This is an old problem reappeared.Way back,it was discovered that certain vehicles caused "snow" on the old black and white TV's. A regulation was passed for suppressors to be fitted and eliminate this. It's called "pixilating"now and apparently caused by the digital TV service only putting out a signal at less than half strength,so traffic is interfering with digital sets once more. It seems it's a choice of upgrading the TV aerial or purchasing a booster. Hope this helps!
