How do you tune a Sanyo TV to work with a Panasonic video machine?
Q. Weve got a Sanyo TV (model CE28DN9-B). Our other TV recently broke for good, but has a perfectly good Panasonic NV -SJ210 video recorder with it. However we cant get the Panasonic to work with the Sanyo. Unfortunately weve never had an operators manual for the TV, so we dont know how to make it accept the video machine. Anyone got any ideas?
Asked by dontknoweither - Mon Jul 13 14:31:36 2009 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments
A. If you connect it by scart lead, you will need to use the AV connection button to find it. If connected by RF lead, you will need to tune in a spare channel on your TV set, to find it.

How can I get the subtitles for deaf off my Sanyo tv using cable remote?
Q. I don't have the original remote control for the Sanyo tv and I can't get these subtitles off. Can someone tell me?

A. If the TV has a menu use it. If not try unplugging the TV and letting it sit for a while. This may reset it to factory defaults. CC off

How can I use an old Sprint Sanyo phone with my Verizon number?
Q. I lost my phone, and my friend gave me her old one: a Sprint Sanyo. I want to use that phone with my Verizon account & number. The verizon website said I had to call an 800 number to activate the phone, but that did not work. Is this going to be impossible to do? If not, how do I do it?

A. i work for sprint... sprint customers cannot use verizon phones, and vice versa. verizon phones work on a standardized verizon OS full of filters and blocks, while sprint has the manufacturers create their own operating systems. even if the phone were to be unlocked, the computers wouldnt recognize the phone or the plans available to the phone, and the phone would not function correctly without the standardized verizon OS

How do you fix a Sanyo DP23845 that has a high pitch beep and no picture?
Q. I have a Sanyo DP23845 flat panel tv. I was watching it and it stopped showing a picture, and every time i plug it in it makes an extremely high pitched beep (almost like a bat). I think it might be a capacitor. What is wrong with it and how do I fix it?
Asked by Austin - Fri Jul 3 01:50:24 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments
A. That beeping is caused by the power supply attempting to start up, but there is a short on the horizontal output or the 130 Volt rectifier...Once you remove that short and replace it with a good part, you should be back in business...

On a 50 inch Sanyo flat panel TV, would I be able to see a difference in picture between 720p and 1080p?
Q. I will only be using this TV for watching HD movies. Walmart is selling a 720p Sanyo for Black Friday. Just wanted some thoughts on if it is worth it to pony up the cash for 1080p. Again, I will only be using this TV for watching HD movies. Thanks.
Asked by I wanna talk to Samson - Fri Nov 16 08:31:25 2007 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments
A. If by movies, you mean from a hi def DVD player, then you should go for 1080P. If you will be getting your movies from anywhere else, then no. The only exception would be if you intend to sit verry close to the screen. Go to a store and look at a 720P, 50" set from your normal viewing distance and look for the pixels. If you can't see them, then walk closer to the sey until you do. Then decide if 1080P is worth the extra money. If you plan on getting a hi def DVD in the future, then go for the 1080P.

I have Sanyo NiMH batteries can i charge them with my Energizer battery charger?
Q. Dont really want to buy a Sanyo charger even though it Sanyo says to only use their charger. Thanks in advance for giving your 2 cents.

A. If your charger has the NiMH feature (the Energizer rechargers I have have a switch between NiMH and NiCad), I don't see how the brand name could affect the charge. I would be surprised if there was any difference ofr this basic feature jamese1045@yahoo.com.

How do I erase all of the information on my Sanyo Katana?
Q. I have purchased a new phone, so have decided to sell my Sanyo Katana, but want to delete all of the infoirmation (contacts, text messages ect.) before I do so. Is there any way to do this besides going through the phone and deleting everything one-by-one?
Asked by dtram - Fri Feb 22 10:46:36 2008 - - 2 Answers - 1 Comments
A. yep, there is I believe. First go to settings on your phone, then select security settings. Once you have selected security settings it will ask you for your security code, enter it (it is usually the last 4 digits of your number). After the code is typed in, it will take you to the security sub-menu, then there should be options such as: erase contacts, erase downloads, erase messages, etc.) Doing this in the security menu will delete ALL of the information at once!! This is a pretty nifty feature. These options were on all my phones, but I don't have a Kantana though. Well hope this works for your phone, and good luck!

How do I receive a cable signal on a Sanyo Tv?
Q. I have a sanyo TV that I bought last year. I just got cable installed in my room. I don't have a box. I'm plugging the cable directly into the back of the TV. When I do a channel scan it says its not receiving a signal even though it's securely screwed in the back. I've tried the Cable Antenna option as well as UHF. There is a spot on the menu that says channel scan memory. It says Ch 3 DELETED. I can make it say ADDED as well. Is there something I'm doing wrong or did the guy install the cable wrong?
Asked by pahkdcah - Sat Aug 18 14:06:28 2007 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments
A. I doubt the Cable is bad...I think your Tuner may be bad. Leave your TV set for CABLE mode... You should be able to recieve Channels 2 to 13 no matter what it's set for... Do you have another Antenna jack on the back of the TV? If so, try the other jack. Still no Picture?? Let's try another Cable in the house...take it to another room that you can SEE has a Good Cable signal...swap the cable to your TV set...try Channels 2 to 13 again. If you get no picture, your Tuner needs replaced... IF you get a picture, your Cable on the back of your set may be bad OR the CABLE guy does need to connect your room to the CABLE system...
