Why Sanyo manufactores mobile phones only in the US and Japan? How do they stand aganist competition?
Q. I have seen photos of Sanyo mob phones.Do they manufacture only for Sprint. Is it possible to ship one to India. They really look great. How do they stand competition against other companies. Are they available in any part of the world other than US and Japan.

A. The Sanyo phones are very good. In fact Sprint people will tell you those phones have best reception on their network. Not sure if those can be used in india though.

How do you tune a Sanyo TV to work with a Panasonic video machine?
Q. Weve got a Sanyo TV (model CE28DN9-B). Our other TV recently broke for good, but has a perfectly good Panasonic NV -SJ210 video recorder with it. However we cant get the Panasonic to work with the Sanyo. Unfortunately weve never had an operators manual for the TV, so we dont know how to make it accept the video machine. Anyone got any ideas?
Asked by dontknoweither - Mon Jul 13 14:31:36 2009 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments
A. If you connect it by scart lead, you will need to use the AV connection button to find it. If connected by RF lead, you will need to tune in a spare channel on your TV set, to find it.

How long does a sanyo digital camera stay charged?
Q. I just got a new digital camera and it doesn't say in the manual how long it stays charged. It's a E1075 Sanyo digital camera. thanks.
Asked by tanyablueeyez90 - Sat Nov 22 14:39:12 2008 - - 3 Answers - 1 Comments
A. The batteries will last 8-12 weeks if left turned off, sometimes longer. Under regular casual use the batteries will last long enough to take roughly 3000 pictures, less if you use video or look at the pictures on your camera a lot.

How can I use an old Sprint Sanyo phone with my Verizon number?
Q. I lost my phone, and my friend gave me her old one: a Sprint Sanyo. I want to use that phone with my Verizon account & number. The verizon website said I had to call an 800 number to activate the phone, but that did not work. Is this going to be impossible to do? If not, how do I do it?
Asked by mamajama - Fri Feb 20 20:58:00 2009 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments
A. i work for sprint... sprint customers cannot use verizon phones, and vice versa. verizon phones work on a standardized verizon OS full of filters and blocks, while sprint has the manufacturers create their own operating systems. even if the phone were to be unlocked, the computers wouldnt recognize the phone or the plans available to the phone, and the phone would not function correctly without the standardized verizon OS

How do you fix a Sanyo DP23845 that has a high pitch beep and no picture?
Q. I have a Sanyo DP23845 flat panel tv. I was watching it and it stopped showing a picture, and every time i plug it in it makes an extremely high pitched beep (almost like a bat). I think it might be a capacitor. What is wrong with it and how do I fix it?
Asked by Shammallamaman - Fri Jul 3 01:50:24 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments
A. That beeping is caused by the power supply attempting to start up, but there is a short on the horizontal output or the 130 Volt rectifier...Once you remove that short and replace it with a good part, you should be back in business...

A. The manual is your best friend. The best way however is to take the picture normally and convert it in the computer using a graphics program. If you don't have one, try Irfanview or Gimp. Both are freeware.

Why is the screen on my Sanyo digital camera white with a black spot in it?
Q. I just bought this camera 32 days ago. My daughter was using it at school to take pictures. She finished her pictures, took the card out, downloaded the pictures onto the comptuer, put the card back into the camera, and then turned it back on. The screen is now totally white with a black spot in the middle. Sanyo says that is cosmetic damage, so it is not covered. Couldn't the screen just have went out and wouldn't that be an internal problem?
Asked by KIM - Tue Oct 27 20:18:08 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Here's a test you should try on the camera screen. *Gently and slowly* rub your finger nail on the screen. Does it chage colors or intensities? Does it look anything like these images? If so, the screen is an unprotected LCD which is very fragile and much more prone to breaking. If it feels hard like a clear sheet of plastic or glass, then it probably didn't break, it is most likely an electronic problem. Many Kodak point and shoot cameras like the C743 were very prone to broken LCD's ( I have 2 that broke). They were so common that ebay vendors made an industry out of selling replacement screens. Do an ebay search for C743 LCD screens. The Sanyo might have the same vulnerability. If it is indeed broken and Sanyo won't fix… [cont.]

how do you transfer ringtones from one sanyo katana to another?

A. sprint does not allow bluetooth between their phones. go to ventones its a free site, you can make any ringtone you want, no cost. You can also make animations, wallpapers, anything. remember the katana does not allow mp3 files, you need to convert it to a different format.

I have Sanyo NiMH batteries can i charge them with my Energizer battery charger?

A. If your charger has the NiMH feature (the Energizer rechargers I have have a switch between NiMH and NiCad), I don't see how the brand name could affect the charge. I would be surprised if there was any difference ofr this basic feature jamese1045@yahoo.com.

Can you upload pictures from a Sanyo VPC-E760 camera to a Windows 98 computer?
Q. I have a Sanyo VPC-E760 camera and I can't seem to get my pictures to upload. Can anyone help me?
Asked by Angela R - Sun Nov 23 14:30:37 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Windows 98 didn't work seamlessly with USB, but there are updates available from the Microsoft site. Open My Computer, plug in your camera and turn it on, if a new drive appears you've cracked it, just double click the new drive icon and then double click the folder that appears. If a new drive does not install itself you need the update(s). You can get a cheap copy of XP these days you can install that and have none of these problems, but it will take half a day to get it installed. It will not erase anything on your computer it will just install the new Operating System, but obviously having a backup of important files is a good idea anyway particularly doing anything as fundamental as changing the OS..
