A. You don't. Original remotes for devices are not user programmable. They are either factory programmed (with mask programming) or just built for the device. If they don't work anymore, then they need repaired or replaced.

Sanyo tv has a black stripe across the screen?
Q. My Sanyo LCD Flat screen TV is only about 1 years old and all of a sudden has a black stripe across the screen. The black stripe is dark in one spot but fades while going across the screen. Is there a way to fix this without taking it to someone? What causes this? the stripe starts in the top left corner...just about 3 inches from the top.

How do I hook up the Sony SSB1000 speakers to my Sanyo TV?
Q. Do i need to buy speaker wire or anything else to connect the two devices or is the TV the wrong place to hook up the speakers in the first place? My TV is model#: DS24425 (Sanyo Flat screen, bought from WalMart a little over a year ago). I haven't yet bought the speakers, but if I were to venture that route to get better-sounding audio, I'd like to know if it'd be a wate of $ or not, since I'm on a "fixed" income...~Jonathan

A. Dont waist your money. To hook up speakers properly you need to hook them up to an amp and not the tv.

A. There are many ways to do this actually. You can get little attachments like splitters or channel selectors as well. But here's the easiest and simplest way to plug all three devices without having to purchase all that other stuff: 1. Plug one end of the Red-White-Yellow (RWY) cords into the OUT ports on your DVD player. 2. Plug the other end of the RWY cords into the IN ports on the back of your VCR. 3. Plug a Cable or another set of RWY cords (depending on how new or old your TV is) into the OUT port on the back of your VCR. 4. Plug the other end of the Cable or RWY cords into the IN ports on the back of your TV. 5. Now, on the VCR, there should be two buttons called Channel Up and Channel Down. Press the Channel up or down till… [cont.]

What is the best digital converter for a Sanyo TV?
Q. I no longer have cable or satellite tv & I need to purchase a digital converter box. Which is a good but economical converter box to purchase? And will I need an outside antenna or rabbit ears for the converter box to work? Thank You for your help

A. Ditto on the Insignia and Zenith which are the same. The 'Shack' Digital Steam comes in a close second with its excellent remote. Ones to avoid are the GE with its poor remote, hard to push buttons. Also the worst is the Magnavox / Philco cheap plastic no unit buttons and high repair return record. I've seen three places selling rufurbished Magnavoxs. Sorry. Also the Apex, the early models had a unfavorable failure rate. The new ones have a grill on top that lets the heat out. I've picked up a Shack Digital Steam at a thrift store for $6.99 w/o a remote. (I have one).

how do i hook up my ps3 to a sanyo tv?
Q. I have a ps3 and its not really working when i hook it up to my tv. (sanyo) it's not HD but it still might work. Any Sullotions? which input would i put on each socket?
Asked by Monique - Sun May 2 18:05:11 2010 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Your PS3 will have come with an AV cable that should connect to a newer TV -- this cable will have three RCA type plugs... red and white are audio, yellow is video. These should match inputs on the TV. These are called Composite video. If your TV also supports the Component Video input, you'll have blue, green and purple inputs... you will need to purchase a Component Video cable separately, but it will give you better picture. If you have an older TV with only coax cable input, you'll need to buy an RF Modulator that converts the Composite video and audio signals from the cable that comes with the PS3 into the Coax cable signal.

A. If you are using some external tuner, such as a cable box or DTV converter box, you will need to turn the closed captions off on there.

A. Unless you have the capability in the front panel controls for a menu to do this, then you are out of luck. You will require a remote control.

On a 50 inch Sanyo flat panel TV, would I be able to see a difference in picture between 720p and 1080p?
Q. I will only be using this TV for watching HD movies. Walmart is selling a 720p Sanyo for Black Friday. Just wanted some thoughts on if it is worth it to pony up the cash for 1080p. Again, I will only be using this TV for watching HD movies. Thanks.
Asked by I wanna talk to Samson - Fri Nov 16 08:31:25 2007 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments
A. If by movies, you mean from a hi def DVD player, then you should go for 1080P. If you will be getting your movies from anywhere else, then no. The only exception would be if you intend to sit verry close to the screen. Go to a store and look at a 720P, 50" set from your normal viewing distance and look for the pixels. If you can't see them, then walk closer to the sey until you do. Then decide if 1080P is worth the extra money. If you plan on getting a hi def DVD in the future, then go for the 1080P.

how do i get the audio to work on my sanyo tv through my samsung dvd player?, the audio is fine for tv?
Q. when i put on the normal tv channel for programmes, news etc the audio is fine, when i want to watch a dvd the sound does'nt come through, all tv/av cords are correct.
Asked by blazer - Sat Feb 16 22:45:13 2008 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments
A. If all the leads are in correct as you say then your audio outputs on your DVD player may have gone. The same happened to my dvd player a few months back. Borrow someones DVD player to test it. Use the same cables you are using on someone else player, if theres work then you will know the outputs are bad.

How do I hook my magnavox dvd player model DV225mg9 to my sanyo tv model DP26647?
Q. I have the three piece cabel hooked right now I just need to know where to plug the red and white connector cord at on my dvd player
Asked by Jessica B - Fri Oct 17 14:06:04 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments
A. The inputs should be on the back of your dvd player. The yellow is for picture and right next to it should be the two inputs for the red and white audio cords. So a yellow, red and white goes into your tv, then the other yellow, red and white goes into your dvd player as explained above.

A. Bryan: "How to memo a frequency?" My suggestion is that, if this is a serious question about a technical TV operational and/or electronics problem, get someone who speaks and writes well in English to help you compose your question and re-post it. As it is written, it is incomprehensible and no one can answer it.
