Xbox will not work on this TV right.?
Q. I have an old Sanyo TV. I'm using a Coax to RCA converter because that's all it has is coax. I hooked up my Xbox and... On channel 3 I have a great picture but no sound. On channel 2 I have awful picture and great sound. Any ideas on this problem? Added: Channel 4 yields nothing =( I think the RF mod is okay, The same thing happens with any VCR I use too.

A. Try channel 4 :-) Most likely, the problem is with the RF modulator not the xbox or the TV.

Q. My boyfriend played all day on the tv with his xbox360 and when I got home to play the xbox the tv would not do anything. Everything is plugged in right. We just bought it less than a week ago and can't find the reciept.

A. Check to see if you get the menu or the on-screen displays showing up on the display screen...IF SO you most likely need to change the Video input button to a working input... Otherwise, you may have to HOPE that you can return it within the 15 day period MOST stores have for return. Call them...they likely have your purchases on record and if so, they'll tell you what you need to identify the proper purchase date... And then they can also make a copy of your reciept IF you have to get it serviced because it's later than the 15 day exchange policy...

It works fine for the first 10-15 minutes but then it starts to flicker black and then gets back to normal and visa versa. Do you guys know how to fix this or if i buy a hdmi cable for my xbox 360 to hook it up to the tv will that work or whats wrong ? Im just connecting the xbox 360 directly to the tv with the AV cables

A. Not sure exactly but are you using a switch? I used to use a switch on my old tv and whenever a game or dvd displayed something bright and/or fast (like explosions) I would get distortion and/or a flickering screen. I fixed it by not using the cheap switch and eventually buying a better one.

Can I have both my PC and my Xbox 360 hooked up to a Sanyo HDTV?
Q. I'm thinking of purchasing a Sanyo 19" Widescreen HDTV, which has VGA and Component connections. My question is, if I were to have my Xbox 360 and my PC hooked up to the TV (360 would be hooked into Component, and the PC would use VGA), would I be able to simply switch channels between my 360 and PC? I'm currently using an LCD Monitor for my 360, but I have to switch the cables back and forth between the two. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A. The TV may need a separate box to decode HD. Most TVs today come with a HD encoder embedded with the machine.

A. Make sure you flick the swtich on the TV cable to HD TV near the back of the Xbox console. Also you must change the settings on your console to register your TV as being HD

Do big screen HDTVs work well with online XBox 360 games?
Q. With tomorrow being Black Friday I'm thinking about getting a new TV. The TV on sale is a Sanyo 50" HDTV. I've heard that big screen TVs aren't great for online game play and that it could lag, which would be very bad. I have a decent 32" Sharp Aquos, but I think a 50" TV would be cool. If anyone can help, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Confused about TV and Video 1, 2 and 3 plug ins?
Q. We have an HDTV. (Sanyo) In the back of the TV there are the usual red, yellow and white plug in's. So when we plug in something like the Wii it works fine. That's for Video 1. Now for Video 2 and 3 there is Green, Blue and Red and Red and White (5 total, but no yellow). When we hook up our DVD player or XBox nothing comes in. Well wait the Xbox will come in but in black and white. Do we need a special cable that has Green, Blue and Red? We know there has to be a way of plugging in the DVD, Wii and Xbox all the same time and just switching Video 1,2 and 3 instead of pluggin one in at a time. What the heck gives?
Asked by Mary - Sun Sep 30 15:29:46 2007 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments

A. the red and yellow and white inputs are for low quality video/audio...those are called analog inputs the green, blue, red, and red and white inputs are called component inputs and have higher quality video...like high-def for your xbox and wii im not sure that your dvd player would have the component cables because regular dvd players dont have that good of quality, video and audio wise. now you do need a special cable for your xbox and wii. i have a wii and the special cable. i didnt notice a diffence in picture quality so that was a bad choice. but for the xbox, you should definatly buy the cables. the console has really good quality when connected with component cables i hope i didnt confuse you too much but the bottom line is that… [cont.]

My Xbox 360 is color blind?
Q. When i was away at drivers ed my mom did some re-arranging to my room. My TV is an HDTV Sanyo and she moved that and my xbox to the other side of the room. She hooked everything back up again. My xbox works great its just that when i play it, it only shows shades of yellow and blue no other colors. When i came home i even checked to see if all the cables and wires were hooked up correctly and they were. The cable that determines the color is the blue one apparently because when i pull it out... the TV goes black and white but when i plug it in... the color comes back but only in yellow and blue shades. My regular TV channels works fine, its just my xbox that isn't sending the right signals to my TV i think... Please help!

A. Just buy an HDMI cable, as they are much better, and your current one is obviously broken.

Why doesn't my Wii work with my TV?
Q. I am not sure how to check what model it is but my TV is a Sanyo make. It is fine to be used with a DVD Player, VCR and Playstation 2. But it didn't work with the XBOX 360 and now it doesn't work with my new Wii ... All the wires are plugged in everything. The DVD player when turned on goes straight to AV but the Wii doesn't ... I would love any advice, Or we might have to put it in my sisters room O.o And its mine so i don't want that to happen :P Thanks! I tried it on another TV and it is on AV1 and connected by a SCART lead and still does not work ...
Asked by niche - Thu Dec 25 14:29:36 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. You have to manually switch to the AV channel with the Wii (and with the XBox) using the TVs remote control. Your DVD player probably connects through a "SCART" cable that includes a signal to automatically switch channels which your games consoles can't do.

Sanyo VWM 406 VCR won't work?
Q. I have a Sanyo VWM 406 VCR. I also have a Direct TV satellite dish, X Box, and DVD player hooked up through it. The only one I can get picture and sound from is the Direct TV. I have power on the VCR, DVD, and XBox, but cannot get any picture or sound. I have rechecked the wiring, and everything appears to be hooked up correctly. I have also left everything unplugged for several hours and replugged it all to see if that helps. It didn't. When I press the input button nothing happens either. I have lost the manuel to this VCR.

A. lots of manuals available here google >>> sanyo vwm406 other than that I can't do remote troubleshooting.

TV and LCD got horizontal or vertical waves, noises. Why?
Q. I have a sanyo HDTV in the living room. Since I bought it, it always has vertical color waves(like lines) when the screen is dark or near dark. Doesn't matter input from DVD or xbox or other players. However, the TV channels are fine. I have another new westinghouse 19" LCD. I just bought it yesterday. I set it to 1440x900 @ 60MHz. It has horizontal waves(lines) on the screen. It's not very bad, but just annoying me. What causing the issues? Another frequency makes it happens?

A. i had a similar problem with my tv about a year ago. i saw lines going through my screen. it turns out, squirrels chewed my cable line outside and was causing disturbance. the cable company came, swaped out the lines, and now my tv has perfect picture.

What monitor or TV will get the equivalent displaying features as this video for a 360?
Q. I'm trying to find something specifically to use for my XBOX 360, as I'm getting rid of my 27" SANYO, either monitor in the screen range from 20-24" or a tv from 25-37". I want it to be as/close detailed as the footage in the following video. The reason I'm switching is because on my 27" SANYO, everything look's flawless yet it's hard to see somethings compared to what a monitor or HD would display, such as prestige logo's, etc. I don't want to spend a lot of money as it's only going to be for my 360, I'm not one of those people who have to have 1080p and if one little pixel is off I'm going to be furious. So what are some good options either in monitor or TV range?

The sound on the HDTV is always great, but its connected to a 2005 surround sound system (SITB- Sound In The Box) and I want that to be working. So overall- Picture great Sound great on tv Sound great on Surround Sound when on 2.0 Once i insert movie its terrible sound on Surround Sound but NOT TV. Help me plzzz i will award 'B [cont.]
